Thomas Doyle Jones of Louisville, Kentucky, son of the late Cleo Jones and Alverta Risen Jones, was born on Sunday, March 29, 1936, in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in Louisville. He was 87 years, 10 months, and 15 days of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Highview Baptist Church in Louisville. He was a retired parts inspector for General Electric and a veteran having served in the United States Army.
Survived by his wife of 68 years, Carolyn Murray Jones of Louisville having united in marriage on December 24, 1955. Other survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Steve and Marcy Jones of Nicholasville; a daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Mark Robinson; two grandchildren: Cory Jones, Shannon Jones Gibson and her husband, Cory all of Nicholasville; a great-grandson: Noah Thomas Gibson; a niece: Vonda Henderson of North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by a brother and sister: William Jones and Bethel Henderson.

The funeral services for Thomas Doyle Jones will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Greensburg Cemetery. Bro. Todd Young officiating.
Visitation is requested after 9:00 A.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of the funeral service.
The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gibeon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
