On Monday, August 7, 2023, Lovie Jaggers, 89, was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father. We are confident that her husband of 65 years, Walter Jaggers, was waiting with open arms to meet her. She was born on December 15, 1933 in Hackleburg, Alabama, to the late John and Vena Frederick.

Lovie lived a life full of grace and love for her Lord – to know her was to know Him. She and Walter built a home that was full of life and love, and as a pastor’s wife, she ministered to many, whether it was a listening ear, sound advice, or a home cooked meal with recipes only she could perfectly execute. From biscuits with chocolate gravy to chicken casserole, glazed donuts, strawberry bavariangupslaw, ranch chicken, and her famous ham, she always had a delicious meal on the table. Her heart for children was evident throughout her life. She took many souls under her wing to show them the love of the Lord and the joy found in Him. She loved a house full of laughter, beautiful rings, and days spent on the porch swing with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Jaggers; son, Johnny Jaggers; granddaughter, Kristi Flannagin; and was the last surviving sibling of her 18 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include their children, Rick (Dena) Jaggers, Beckie (Doug) Sanders, Pam (Kevin) Flannagin, Beth (Jeff) Caldwell, and Paul (Angie) Jaggers; and their grandchildren, Summer (Lee) Millican, Easton, and Hudson; Lance (Taylor) Jaggers, Ella, Jackson, and Charlotte; Nathaniel (Heather) Sanders, Bailee (David) Rodriguez, Mia, and Kiyah, Nolia, and Nolen; Joshua (Heather) Sanders, Ashlee, Karlee, and Levi; Kelli (Matt) Templeton, Ella, Selah, Elise, and Liam; Kati (Michael) Hammons, Adelaine, Benaiah, and Abraham; Kelsi (Daniel) Crane, Emmalyn, Charlie, and Henry; Kasi Flannagin; Ryan (Bailey) Caldwell, Brady and Adalynn; Spencer (Lauren) Caldwell, Aria and Holden; Makenzie (William) Dent; Madison (Michael) Brust; Cady and John David Inabinett.
