Mary Elizabeth Spears Frazier, age 82, of Summer Shade, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Metcalfe County Health Care. Born September 16, 1940, in Celina, TN she was a daughter of the late Jack and Vandana Short Spears.
Mary owned and ran Mary’s Restaurant in Summer Shade many years and was a member of New Life Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include one son Tony (Deleda) Mosby, Lucas, KY; five grandchildren, Casey Crain, Karla Decker, Anthony Mosby, Erica Waid, and Justin Mosby; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Preceding Mary in death besides her parents, were her husband, Carl (Shorty) Frazier; one son, Tim Mosby; three brothers Hubert and Sammy Spears, and Albert Walker; and one sister, Glen Huffman.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 7, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at McMurtrey Funeral Home. A burial will follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2023, 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Monday after 8:00 A.M. until time of services at 11:00.
