Two senior Glasgow brothers have lost their home in a fire, and a family member is asking for help from the community.

On Thursday, June 29th around 10:00am, the home of Clarence and Walter Hunley was struck by lightning and caught fire, suffering heavy damage. Clarence is in his 70s and Walter in his 60s, and they lived in their mother’s home, which has been the family home for decades.

According to family member Allie Hunley, through unforeseen circumstances, insurance had lapsed and the home is currently uninsured. The brothers were not harmed in the fire, but they both suffer from health problems. Now they are without a home and working with the kindness of strangers to figure out the next step.

Allie has organized a GoFundMe campaign to help the family.  You can donate at https://gofund.me/86e2bf3e.
