Mary Kathleen Barr, 65, of Scottsville, KY passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at her residence. The Detroit, Michigan native was a homemaker and a Christian. She was a daughter of the late Herman Edmond Owens and Genevieve Mae Paquin Owens and wife of the late Donald Lee Barr.
She is survived by 2 sons: Philip Horner, Scottsville, KY and Mark Owens and his 3 children, Monroe, MI;
1 step son: Dennis Barr, Atlanta, GA;
1 step daughter: Melinda Barr, NE;
2 brothers: Michael Owens (Robin), Chesapeake, MD; Paul Owens, Frazier, MI;
3 sisters: Patricia Larson (Kurt), Whitfield, VA; Pamela Link, Blacksburg, VA; Genny Clemens (Dan Shay), Auburn, KY;
5 grandchildren: Heaven Owens, Aiden Horner, Blake Horner, Brooklyn Horner and Michael Montagna;
3 great grandchildren: Nevaeh, Bella and Aalyah Owens.
She was preceded in death by 1 daughter: Tina Owens and a brother-in-law: Randy Link.
There will be no visitation, a private entombment will be held at a later date at Owen Cemetery in Riner, VA. Cremation was chosen and Goad Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Hospice of Southern Kentucky and Scott and Linda for all their love and care.
