Carson Gil Hernandez, age 14, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, Tennessee.  Carson was born in Glasgow, Kentucky on October 9, 2008. He was an eighth-grade student at Barren County Middle School.  He was quite the outdoorsman, anything from hunting to fishing, spending every waking second he could at the lake, or racing his four-wheeler, he loved every second of it. On rainy days and dark hours, you could likely find him in his room gaming with his friends and cousins or looking at diesel or square-body trucks. He was the epitome of a life-loving child.

He is survived by his parents; Russell Hernandez, of Edmonton, Kentucky, and Lori and Kelly Emmert of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, one sister, Cailee Hernandez, and her boyfriend Jackson Pemberton, and his little brother Kellen Rush Emmert, his grandparents; Nelson & Josie Hernandez, of Glasgow, Kentucky, Randall & Lou Ann Bartley, and Kenny and Carolyn Emmert all of Tompkinsville.  Several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his abuelo, Rigo Hernandez.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, from the Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky with burial to follow in Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Bro. Darrick Proffitt will officiate the services.
