Garland Louis Walters, age 85, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023, at Greenwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was a member of Three Forks Bacon Creek Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Roscoe “Bill” Walters and the late Edith “Lorine” Bailey Walters. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maybelle Walters; one daughter, Sherry Day; his two brothers, Jimmy and Charles Walters.
He is survived by one daughter, Judy Bishop, Mount Juliet, TN; four sons, Tony Walters, Sacramento, CA, Dennis Walters, Detroit, MI, Gary Walters, Louisville , KY, Luke Walters, Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Gayle Warren, Louisville, KY; two brothers, Tommy Walters, Bowling Green, KY, Billy Walters, Louisville, KY; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and host of friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-8:00 PM CT on Friday, February 10, 2023 and again from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM CT on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Munfordville City Cemetery.
