Doyle Talmadge Berry of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Elbert L. Berry and Alison Eugenia Chaudoin Berry, was born on Tuesday, September 19, 1944 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville. He was 78 years, 3 months and 24 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Brush Creek Baptist Church where he was church moderator and Vacation Bible School Coordinator for over 50 years. He was a retired lineman for General Electric. Mr. Berry also played the Bass for the Durrett Family Gospel Group for 14 years.

Survived by his wife of 47 years, Joan Elaine Milby Berry of Greensburg having united in marriage on May 9, 1975.

Other survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Melanie Berry of Louisville, and Brandie and Todd Sharp of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Evan Forcht and wife, Cassidy, Erik Forcht and wife, Cassidy all of Louisville, McKynzee Scott and husband, Jacob of Summersville, Keegan Zulager, Alison Rylee Zulager, and Savanna Cowherd and husband, Jordan all of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: John-Axel Forcht, Charlotte Forcht, and Lena Belle Scott; a brother-in-law: Steve H. Milby of Summersville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Berry was also preceded in death by a daughter: Bethany LeAnn Berry; two brothers and a sister: Joseph Berry, Gary David Berry, and Patsy Janes.

The funeral services for Doyle T. Berry will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery. Bro. Casey Durrett and Bro. Keegan Zulager officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7 A.M., Sunday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund or Alzheimer’s Association which can be made at the funeral home.
