Mr. Lester Merle Melton Of Burkesville, Kentucky died Sunday, November 27, 2022 at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky, having attained the age of 77 years 2 months, & 23 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Tuesday, September 04, 1945 the son of Olison and Emogene Melton. He was a Christian Man who was a member of the Pleasant Hill Church, and a self employed farmer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice (Williams) Melton, sister, Connie Jean Melton.
He is survived by his siblings, Brenda (& Lonell) Thompson of Celina, Tennessee, Teresa (& Duwayne) Nelson of Glasgow, Kentucky, sister-in-law, Mary (Williams) (& Jackie) Day of Celina, Tennessee, nieces and nephews, Stacy Thompson, Bryant Thompson, Brandon Strother, Tina Day, Tony Day, several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
The graveside funeral service will be conducted on Friday, December 02, 2022 at 2:00.p.m. in the Gaines Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky, with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Family will receive friends after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday until 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gaines Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
