James Charles Hawkins, 92, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born August 22, 1929 in Greenville, Mississippi to the late Walter Hawkins and Flora Mae Townley Hawkins. James was a salesman for Nabisco and served dutifully in the United States Army. Mr. Hawkins was a faithful member of Southside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina Gail Atwell (Jonathan); one granddaughter, Bailey Atwell (Nicholas Fields); one great granddaughter, Oakleigh Fields; one son-in-law, John Hamby; and his special furry friend, Izzy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Fay Eline Hawkins and son, Richard Eugene Hawkins.
The funeral service for Mr. Hawkins will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 13th at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by DAV Chapter #20. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home. A. F. Crow & Son is honored to be entrusted in the care of Mr. Hawkins.
