William Harrison “Billy” Humphrey, 87 of Center, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at his home. He was born July 17, 1934 in Metcalfe County to the late Jack and Zora Douglas Humphrey. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters. Elsie Jean Cox and Norma Ward. A son in law Curtis Clemons.
Billy was a member of the Foundation United Methodist Church and a Grader operator gaining the title of Grader Man. Billy was very active in his church and enjoyed working on cars. Billy will be remembered for his contagious smile and quick wit. Billy was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley Edward Humphrey. Two children. Ricky (Marti) Humphrey of Greensburg and Karen Clemons of Edmonton. Five grandchildren. Amanda (Alan) Blythe, Billy (Miranda) Clemons, Fallon, Megan and Bryan Milby. Nine great grandchildren. Aubrey, Hunter, Aislee, Kinslee, Bailee, Bristol, Tayvion, Bryant and Reece.
Funeral services for Mr. Humphrey will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Smith Cemetery at Sulphur Well. Visitation will begin after 9:00 AM Sunday until time of service.
