James Leroy Brandel, 87, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was born February 5, 1934 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to the late Joseph W. Brandle and Anna Springstub Brandle. James was a purchasing agent in the warehouse for Coca-Cola in Tampa, Florida. He was an avid bowler, loved telling jokes, always listened to classic country music, and was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his children, Kip C. Brandel (Beatrice) of Glasgow, Marti Brandel of Lebanon, Tennessee, Michael Norris (Denese) of Columbia, South Carolina, Robert Brandel (Vicki) of Tampa, Florida, Jennie Hoffman (Richard) of Sister Bay, Wisconsin, Bonnie Rawlerson of Sacramento, California; fifty plus foster children; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Elizabeth Chapman Brandel.
