Wanda Sue York, age 78, of Glasgow, died Saturday, January 22, 2022, at NHC
Healthcare in Glasgow. She was born in Glasgow on September 25, 1943, to the late
Ike Likens and the late Maggie (Taylor) Likens. She was a homemaker and attended
Westwood Church of Christ. She was married to the late Alvis York.
She is survived by one son, Lewis York (Cathy); one daughter, Bonnie Ragle; three
grandchildren, Ashley Russell (Chad), Becky Wooten (Jeffery), and Jeremy Ragle; four
great grandchildren, Malayka Russell, Kelsey Russell, Jason Wooten, and Jacob
Wooten; two sisters-in-law, Cordie Eden and Doris York; one brother-in-law, Larry
York; several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings,
Stella Likens, Ernest Likens, Herbert Likens, Albert Likens, Rosie Debrew, Evelyn
Decker, Lenville Linkens, Ottis Likens, and Lucy McKenzie.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 27th at A.F. Crow &
Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be
Thursday, 11:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.
