BOWLING GREEN – Road crews continue to clear routes after another wintry mix brought snow and ice to the area.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 3 crews have finished clearing interstates, expressways and main routes. The focus has shifted to rural and secondary routes. Road conditions have improved tremendously since daylight, but icy spots remain.

“Motorists should use caution and adjust driving behavior if traveling,” according to a KYTC news release.

Temperatures are in the 20 degree range and are not expected to rise above freezing. Wind-chill factors have made fore even more frigid temperatures with wind-chill factors close to single digits.

Crews are expected to work throughout the day and finish this afternoon.
