The City of Cave City has declared a Local State of Emergency due to the tornadic weather event in Kentucky. In an executive order signed by Cave City Mayor Pro-Tem Robert Smith, The order acknowledges the city has suffered wind damage to homes, buildings and outside structures that were privately owned, that the fallen trees have damaged streets in the city.  The Local state of emergency will remain in effect until further notice, according to the release from Cave City Clerk Jennifer Freeman.

This is yet another measure that other localities have used to expedite the availability of relief funding and other methods of assistance during this disaster.  You can contact city hall for more information at 270-773-2188
