Norma Jean Adwell Martin

Norma Jean Adwell Martin, age 88, of Horse Cave, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at her home. She was a native of Northtown and a member of Cave Springs United Baptist Church. She worked at Mammoth Cave Hotel as a sales clerk in the gift shop. She was a member of the Bonnieville Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #191.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Virgil Martin; her parents, Dell Adwell and Lillie Meredith Adwell; one daughter, Germaine Owen; three brothers, Garland, Roger, and Leo Adwell; three sisters, Alvene Coats and Mayvonie Chapman, and Edith Chapman; five grandchildren, Scott Jaggers, Hope Martin, Faith Martin, Allison Clark, and J.P. Martin; one great-grandchild, Josh Owen.

She is survived by two sons, Perry Martin (Shannon), of Horse Cave and Kevin Martin (Missy), of Horse Cave; three daughters, Veronica Hughes (Eddie), of Murfreesboro, Nell Wathen Jaggers, of Horse Cave, and Kennetha Sanders (Bobby), of Cave City; nine grandchildren, J.W. Martin, Cully Martin, Maddie Martin, Jēan Seabolt, Nick Seabolt, Nick Jaggers, Holly Jaggers, Cody Sanders, and Lucas Sanders; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 12 p.m.-8 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
