Barren County grand jury returns indictments

GLASGOW, Ky. – A grand jury returned the following indictments from a session on Nov. 12, 2020. An indictment is an accusation only. It is not a clause of innocence or guilt, which can only be proven in a court of law.

Colten R. Keller, 26, of Tompkinsville, was indicted on three indictments with one count of first degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (under $500), first degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (firearm) and second degree persistent felony offender.

Brandon Neal Bradshaw, 28, of Glasgow, was indicted on three indictments with one count of first degree complicity to burglary, complicity to theft by unlawful taking ($500 or more but under $10,000) and first degree persistent felony offender.

Emily B. Tarry, 19, of Glasgow, was indicted on three indictments with two counts of first degree complicity to burglary, complicity to theft by unlawful taking ($500 or more but under $10,000).

Timothy R. Adams Jr., 32, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of first degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (under $500), first degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (firearm) and first degree persistent felony offender.

Anthony W. Murphy II, 37, of Erie, Penn., was indicted on two counts of first degree rape (victim under 12 years of age) and first degree sexual abuse (in a continuing course of conduct, child less than 12 years old). That indictment stems from abuse that happened between Oct. 24, 2011 and Nov. 24, 2012, and March 19, 2011 and March 19, 2012, respectively.

Anthony H. Dalton III, or also known as Cameron Lucifer, 20, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of impersonating a peace officer.

Fred Roman, 69, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of torture of a dog or cat with serious physical injury or death.

Deion E. Waggoner, 30, of Horse Cave, was indicted on one count of theft of identity of another without consent, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), second degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), resisting arrest, menacing and second degree persistent felony offender.

Jonathan O. Roeder, 33, of Louisville, was indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), first degree possession of a controlled substance (Heroin, first offense), third degree assault, theft by unlawful taking or disposition (under $500), resisting arrest, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and second degree disorderly conduct.

Joshua D. Cogar, 35, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, third or more offense) and public intoxication.

Amanda Lea Davidson, 36, of Richardsville, was indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, third or more offense), third degree possession of a controlled substance (Alprazolam), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and theft by unlawful taking or disposition (under $500).

Quinn P. Ritter, 32, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of third degree assault (police/ probation officer).

Joshua D. Cogar, 35, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of first degree promoting contraband, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, third or more offense), second degree criminal trespass, second degree disorderly conduct and first degree persistent felony offender.

Richie P. Hammer, 35, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of fourth degree assault (domestic violence, third or more offense within five years) and public intoxication.

Donald W. Harrison, 40, of Scottsville, was indicted with one count of first degree possession fo a controlled substance (methamphetamine, third or more offense), first degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), theft by unlawful taking or disposition (under $500) and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Cotton L. Compton, 31, of Knob Lick, was indicted on one count of first degree burglary, first degree strangulation, fourth degree assault (domestic violence, no visible injury), fourth degree assault (no visible injury) and violation of Kentucky EPO/ DVO.

Paul A. Coomer, 51, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of second degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking or disposition ($500 or more but under $10,000).

Larry W. York, 38, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition ($500 or more but under $10,000), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence or alcohol (second offense), operating on a suspended/ revoked operator’s license, prescription controlled substance not in proper container (first offense) and first degree persistent felony offender.

David A. Thomason, 37, of Glasgow, was indicted on one count of second degree strangulation, first degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth degree assault and third degree terroristic threatening.

Jason Akers, 45, of Cave City, was indicted on one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence or alcohol (first offense), possession of marijuana, failure to produce insurance card, no/ expired Kentucky registration receipt and no/ expired registration plates.

Joshua C. Benge, 35, of Indianapolis, Ind., was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property ($500 or more but less than $10,000), third degree assault, receiving stolen property (under $500), resisting arrest, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended/ revoked operator’s license and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence or alcohol (first offense).
