WCDTF arrest two after drug investigation

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Drug Task Force arrested two Bowling Green men, on seperate circumastances, on Wednesday in connection to drug investigations.

Authorities said Brandon Dewayne Martin, 39, was charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine), trafficking in marijuana (less than 8 oz.), possession of drug paraphernalia, disregarding a stop sign, excessive window tint and failure to wear a seat belt.

He was arrested at 4 p.m. on East 10th Avenue in Bowling Green, a news release said. The arrest followed an investigation, surveillance and a traffic stop.

The investigation resulted from information that the accused was trafficking in crystal methamphetamine in Bowling Green.

Authorities seized 22 grams of crystal methamphetamine (Mexican meth), two THC vape cartridges, scales, Narcan and $1,585 in cash.

Martin is lodged at the Warren County regional jail. Arraignment is pending in Warren District Court.

Also arrested was John S. Houchens, 33. Authorities arrested Houchens after a similar investigation, and he faces three counts of first degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).

Authorities seized over two ounces of meth from Houchens’ residence.
