Barren County grand jury returns indictments

GLASGOW, Ky. – A grand jury convened July 30 in Barren County and returned several indictments. Of those indictments, ongoing cases regarding human trafficking, attempted murder and strangulation were before the jury.

An indictment is an accusation only. It is not a clause of innocence or guilt, which can only be proven in a court of law.

Terry W. Hagan, 55, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of promoting human trafficking (victim under 18 years of age), possession or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and unlawful use of electronic means to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities.

Richard Lavelle Small, 26, of Lexington, was indicted with one count of first degree strangulation and fourth degree assault.

Jonathan R. Mattingly, 20, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of second degree assault (domestic violence), fourth degree assault (domestic violence, no visible injury) and second degree criminal mischief.

Christopher D. Thomason, 27, of Glasgow, was indicted on two indictments with one count of criminal attempt to murder, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), first degree possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone), third degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a minor, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, and third degree possession of a controlled substance (Xanax).

Marquitta Lessenberry, 35, of Glasgow, was indicted on two indictments with one count of criminal attempt to murder, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), first degree possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone), endangering the welfare of a minor, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, and third degree possession of a controlled substance (Xanax).

Tyler D. Aument, 21, of Cave City, was indicted with one count of first degree criminal abuse (child 12 or under).

Brandon C. Coy, 32, and Ashley Woosley, 27, both of Glasgow, were indicted with one count of first degree criminal abuse (child 12 or under) on two indictments.

Andrew J. Johnson, 19, of Edmonton, was indicted with one count of second degree rape (no force).

Cody Paul Stinnett, 33, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree rape (forcible compulsion).

Thomas James Moore, 57, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of false statement/ misrepresent to receive benefits over $100.

Pamela A. Morris, 37, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree wanton endangerment, first degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and any other substance which impairs one’s driving ability (third offense), two counts of third degree criminal mischief, and one count of failure of owner to maintain required insurance (first offense).

Catherine R. Ayotidas, 44, of Cave City, was indicted with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), buying  or possessing drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/ drugs (first offense), no operator/ moped license, no/ expired registration plates, and no/ expired Kentucky registration receipt.

Roy Dylan Wyatt III, 27, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree criminal trespass, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), and third degree possession of a controlled substance (Tramadol).

Jonathan Michael Emmitt, 38, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense) and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Ryneisha M. Whitlow, 26, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone, first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and speeding 22 mph over the limit.

Kendell Lampkins, 27, of Louisville, was indicted with one count of first degree wanton endangerment, complicity to trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces or more but less than 5 lbs, first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/ drugs/ etc. (first offense), operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, speeding 26 mph ore more over the limit, reckless driving, failure to wear a seatbelt and first degree persistent felony offender.

Alec L. Pettiway, 21, of Louisville, was indicted with one count of trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces or more but less than 5 lbs, first offense) and complicity to trafficking in marijuana (8 ounces or more but less than 5 lbs, first offense).

Lucas Mitchell Carey, 30, of Cave City, was indicted with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/ drug (second offense, aggravator), failure to register transfer of a motor vehicle, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure of owner to maintain required insurance (first offense), possession of open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, no/ expired registration plates and failure to wear a seatbelt.

Rachel Mae Myers-Jackson, 34, of Albany, was indicted on two indictments with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense) and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Tommy G. Claborn, 45, of Albany, was indicted on two indictments with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), second degree possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, failure of owner to maintain required insurance (second or more offense), no operator’s/ moped license, improper registration plate and failure to or improper signal.

Joseph Lee Jewell, 33, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, second offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and no/ expired registration plates.

Eric Benjamin Denton, 26, of Horse Cave, was indicted with tampering with physical evidence, first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), resisting arrest and second degree persistent felony offender.

Laurie Michelle Wylie, 46, of Glasgow, was indicted on two indictments with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense) and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.

Larry Dwayne Rutledge, 51, of Glasgow, was indicted on two indictments with one count of first degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine, first offense), buying or possessing drug paraphernalia and second degree hindering prosecution or apprehension.

Justin Ray Halcomb, 48, of Louisville, was indicted with one count of first degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), resisting arrest, failure to notify address change to department of transportation, reckless driving, speeding 26 mph or more over the limit, failure to or improper signal and first degree persistent felony offender.

Jackson D. Dockery,  32, of Westview, was indicted with one count of receiving stolen property ($500 or more but less than $10,000), first degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), first degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance (first offense), operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/ drugs/ etc. (first offense), reckless driving, no/ expired registration plates, one headlamp and no tail lamps.

Jeffery Anderson, 20, of Glasgow, was indicted with two counts of third degree assault (police/ probation officer), second degree fleeing or evading police (on foot), second degree criminal mischief, and two counts of first degree criminal trespass.

Ethan W. Trivett, 25, of Glasgow, was indicted with one count of second degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition ($500 or more but under $10,000) and second degree persistent felony offender.

On a separate indictment, Trivvett was indicted with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/ drugs/ etc. (fourth or subsequent offense, aggravator), operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, no/ expired registration plates, failure to produce an insurance card and possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.

William B. Parker III, 31, of Bowling Green, was indicted with one count of second degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking or disposition ($500 or more but under $10,000), first degree wanton endangerment, first degree fleeing or evading police (motor vehicle), fourth degree assault (domestic violence, minor injury), violation of Kentucky EPI/ DVO, and two counts of first degree wanton endangerment.
