JURY FINDS GLASGOW MAN GUILTY OF LESSER CHARGES IN ROBBERY TRIAL PDF Print

A jury in Barren Circuit Court found a Glasgow man guilty Wednesday afternoon in a robbery incident that happened in June of 2010 in the Walmart Parking lot.  49 year old Rod Hatchett had been originally charged with Robbery 2nd degree, but in deliberations the jury found Hatchett guilty on two lesser charges;   Theft by unlawful taking under $500.00 and terroristic threatening 3rd degree.   Those charges carry a maximum penalty of 12 months incarceration.  Hatchett had only been out of prison 6 months after serving a 1st degree robbery sentence when he committed the crime in the Walmart parking lot in June of 2010.   The court did move forward Wednesday afternoon and sentenced Hatchett to the maximum 12 months in prison.
