A Bowling Green woman was arrested in Glasgow Monday night on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., first offense, endangering the welfare of a minor, disregarding a stop sign and failure to produce an insurance card. Fifty-year-old Charlotte B. Curtis was arrested after Sgt. Morgan of the Glasgow Police Department observed Curtis disregard a stop sign at the intersection of the Glasgow public square at South Green Street. Curtis abruptly stopped at Save A Lot and went inside. Upon contact with Curtis inside the store, Sgt. Morgan advised that Curtis was very nervous and extremely jittery, had slurred speech and was very unsteady on her feet. Officer Burton arrived on the scene and initiated field sobriety tests, which Curtis failed. Curtis advised that she had taken hydrocodone during the day, smoked marijuana and had been drinking. A young male juvenile was also in the vehicle with Curtis when stopped. A marijuana cigarette was found inside the Curtis vehicle on the driver’s seat. Curtis could also not produce a valid insurance card. She was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center.
