Howard Hoots age 84 of Crossville, Tennessee, formerly of Burkesville died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee.  He was a member of Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church and was a longtime bus driver for the Senior Citizens Center on Aging. 

He is survived by his wife Joy Wray Hoots of Crossville, Tennessee; a son Michael Hoots and wife Fay of Bowling Green; two daughters Billie Wilson of Crossville, Tennessee and Phyllis Ferguson and husband Bruce of Indianapolis, Indiana; one brother Carmon Hoots of New Castle, Indiana; one sister Golda Flowers of Elgin, Illinois; four grandchildren Buffy, Christopher, Elissa and Shannon and four great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Myrtie Ann Sells Hoots and Charlie Thomas Hoots and two sisters and four brothers.

Funeral services for Howard Hoots will be held at 11am Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at the Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home with burial in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County. Visitation from 4 to 9pm Monday.
