Acting on a tip of suspected drug activity earlier this week, deputies with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and detectives with the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force responded to a property on Morrison Park Road.

Upon arrival, deputies and detectives found items of drug paraphernalia in plain view, further searching netted the finding of over forty shake and bake labs and over fifty HCL generators. Other items found in the search include Coleman Fuel, rock salt, lithium batteries, lye, ammonia nitrate and an anhydrous ammonia tank, along with other items used in the making of methamphetamine.

Detectives Rusty Anderson and Ann Phelps, Deputy Mike Houchens along with Haz-Mat Coordinator Shannon White assisted the Drug Task Force in the case.

Agencies do have person(s) of interest and arrests are pending the continuing investigation by the departments.

According to Sheriff Chris Eaton, this is the largest known shake and bake lab finding in the history of Barren County.
