SMITHS GROVE MAN ARRESTED EARLY TUESDAY MORNING ON SEVERAL CHARGES PDF Print

Sgt. Jessie Barton early Tuesday morning observed the driver of a 2006 Scion driving in the middle of the road on Lovers Lane. 

After making contact with the driver, 28 year old Joshua Shahmohammad of Smiths Grove, a strong odor of alcohol could be smell on him.  Sgt. Barton asked Shahmohammad to step out of the vehicle and when he did so he was very unsteady on his feet.  He told the officers he had drank five beers and a shot of vodka. 

 Shahmohammad was arrested and charged with Reckless Driving; Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, 1st Offense and Violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO.  He was lodged in the Barren County Correctional Center. Officer Ashley Towe assisted Sgt. Barton in the arrest.
