Glasgow Police Officer Mary Driver was dispatched to 102 Lee Street Friday afternoon that 45 year old Timothy V. Slayton was threatening to harm himself.

After making contact with Slayton he was asked to step out of the residence.  Sgt Lewis received permission to walk through the residence and check for weapons.  Sgt Lewis found two beer cans altered to smoke marijuana out of with residue on them in plain view.

After Slayton found out he was going to be arrested he started yelling and cursing where neighbors and children in the area could hear him. He told the officers he was going anywhere and he fell to the ground to try and prevent the officers from picking him up and proceeding to the cruiser.

He was transported to the Barren County Correctional Center and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct, 2nd Degree.
