A south-central Kentucky man has pleaded guilty in a vote-buying scheme dating back to the 2006 general election. The U.S. attorney's office for the Western District of Kentucky said on Thursday that 53-year-old Gary M. Bartley of Tompkinsville admitted conspiring to pay voters in the election in Monroe County, accepting money to be used to pay voters and paying voters. He is to be sentenced May 20th in Bowling Green. Wanda Moore of Tompkinsville, who pleaded guilty in December to buying votes and conspiring to buy votes in the 2006 Monroe County general election, is to be sentenced March 25th in Bowling Green.
