A two-vehicle collision Tuesday December 14 shortly before noon, on Tick Ridge Road approximately 3 miles north of Glasgow, sent two people to the hospital.
It appears the accident occurred when 42-year-old Terry A. Thompson of Cave City, was traveling north in a 2010 Jeep Commander Sport when he rounded a curve, hitting a patch of ice causing the vehicle to go out of control and collide with a 2006 Jeep Liberty that was southbound, driven by 17-year-old Shyler T. Kjelsen of Greensburg.
Kjelsen and one of his passengers Marnie H. Young, 37, of Greensburg were taken from the scene by Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Medical Services to T.J. Samson Community Hospital where they were treated and released. Another passenger in Kjelsen’s vehicle James M. Coats, 72, of Greensburg refused medical transport. Thompson and his son who was a passenger also refused medical transport.
Deputy Steve Runyon investigated.
The Hiseville Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the crash.
