Sarah Smith Crump, 94 of Frankfort died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

The Jefferson County native was a daughter of the late William S. And Nellie Sheets Thornbury. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Garland R. Smith and Raymond Crump, a son Lawrence Eugene Hamlin, also three grandchildren, two brothers, Howard & W.S. Thornbury. She was a homemaker and formerly employed by Holley Carburetor, a Foster Parent of 38 children, member of Chalybeate Homemakers, former member of Smiths Grove Baptist Church and attended Richardsville United Methodist Church. Sarah was a volunteer at the Medical Center for 10 years and Jewish Hospital of Shelbyville, a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church and Graefenburg Grace Notes and a regular attendee of Franklin County Senior Citizens Center.

Her survivors include her daughter, Linda Robinson (Michael); son, Bill Smith of Atlanta; a foster daughter, Carla Madison (John); eight Grandchildren, Joh Paul Miller, Christopher Miller (Kendra), Shannon Miller, Sarah Louise Robinson, Amy Staples (Robbie), Adam Robinson (Autumn), Jimmy Robinson, Penny Jean Raynor (Jerry); three foster grandchildren, Christopher Madison (Kim), Wes Madison ( Melissa), Paula Thomas (Daniel); six great grandchildren, Nicolas, Katie & Samuel Miller; Briley Staples; Ally & Austin Robinson; five foster great grandchildren, Alex Madison, Johnathan Rone, Megan Klaine (Austin), Olivia Madison & Ian Madison.

Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel with burial in Brownsville Cemetery. Visitation 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at                                                                                                           Graefenburg Baptist Church in Frankfort at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, 2014.
