John W. Amis of Glasgow, wanted on charges of Murder – Domestic Violence and 2 counts of Tampering With Physical Evidence, in the death of his wife, Lorine Labombard on June 16, 2014, has been taken into custody by law enforcement in Clermont County, Ohio.

Working on a tip received by an Officer in Felicity, Ohio, multiple agencies worked tirelessly late last evening and into the early morning hours of this date to locate and arrest Amis.

Detective Aaron Cowan, lead Detective in the investigation, wants to personally thank the agencies that assisted in capturing Mr. Amis: Mount Healthy, Ohio Police, Cincinnati Police, Felicity, Ohio Police, the Clermont County, Ohio Sheriff’s Office and all agencies in the Northern Kentucky area. Detective Cowan states “without the diligence, persistence and dedication of these agencies, Mr. Amis would still be at large”.

John W. Amis has waived extradition and will be brought back to Barren County and served the warrant against him. Arrangements for extradition are being made at this time.

Chief Guy Turcotte states, “I am pleased to hear of the arrest of John W. Amis. Our Detectives have shown exemplary investigatory skills and dedication to this case in the interest of the victim and her family. I also thank all the agencies involved here in Kentucky and Ohio”.
