Coy Bradford Coomer 83 of the Big Meadow Community went to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the home of his daughter. Born in Adair county he was the son of the late Edd Lee and Ida Pearl Coomer.   Coy was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Glasgow.    Coy was a United States army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by two daughters.   Patricia (Jerry) Jessie of Wisdom, Sherry (Robert) Honeycutt of Hiseville.   One sister Nancy (Carlie)  Jones of Chicago, Illinois.   Six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren;  Bradford (Beth) Jessie of Edmonton.  Sabrinia Jessie of Edmonton, Corey (Janet) Bailey of Glasgow, Justin (Mindy) Bailey of Glasgow, Whitney Honeycutt of Edmonton.  Brelynnne Jessie, Ronnie and  Brayden Russell, Braxton, Peyton and Kimber Jessie all of Edmonton.  Austin, Sierra, Ty and Jase Bailey all of Glasgow.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Winnie Frances Coomer, two brothers and one sister.   Orbie Coomer, Norman Coomer and Frances Baker.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM  Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens.   Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM  Friday and after 9:00 AM  Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Today is Yvonne Norris Bartley Day!  Retiring from Barren County Schools after 31 years.
