Glasgow High School will have a new Boys Basketball Head Coach next season, but a familiar face to the program.  Current and former Golf Coach, former Girls Basketball coach, and current Assistant Principal, Mike Harris, will be the Boys Basketball Head Coach for one season on an interim basis.  Harris told the crowd gathered at the Glasgow Auditorium that being a part of the last team to go to the Sweet 16 in 1977 and having been in the school system almost all his life will give him a unique opportunity to continue the tradition and pride of Glasgow basketball.  Harris, who will retire from all of his coaching and administrative duties next June says this will be more than just basketball, but a chance to continue some of the old traditions that instilled in him the Scottie Pride he has today.

Harris brought with him is GHS Letterman Jacket, a picture of the 1977 team, and an embroidered Shamrock that Scottie faithful once placed on the players socks during his time as an athlete.  He plans on bringing that tradition back to the program.

Harris also said his first goal will be to retain assistant coaches Brandon Stockton and Byron Brown.

Congratulations and good luck to New Boys Basketball Coach at Glasgow High, Mike Harris.
