Subject leaves empty handed during an attempted bank break-in at the Munfordville First Federal Bank.

On Monday morning, just past 7:30am, the Munfordville Police Department responded to First Federal Bank on Main Street in Munfordville.  Employees had entered the bank and realized that someone had broken out a window.  Through investigation it was determined that at 1:40 am on Monday, the window in the bank had been broken out and a subject had entered the building.  Once inside, they then attempted to gain entry into the vault, but were unsuccessful.

The Munfordville Police were assisted at the scene by Hart County Deputy Glass and  Kentucky State Police Troopers Joel Huff and Ronnie Reynolds. The incident is still under investigation by the Munfordville Police Department.
