Man Falls Asleep While Intoxicated and Behind Wheel Plus More Arrests By GPD PDF Print

On Friday afternoon the Glasgow Police were called to Happy Valley Road in Glasgow to investigate a report of a driver who had passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle.  Upon arrival Officers found 32 year old Steve Garmon of Knob Lick, passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, the vehicle was running and in the ‘drive’ position and a pill bottle with a white powder substance was in clear view in the truck’s console.   Officers woke Garmon and asked him to exit the vehicle.  Garmon advised Officers there was a meth lab in the back of the truck.

Upon search of the truck, Officers found an old meth lab, scales with drug residue on them, a syringe along with items used to manufacture methamphetamine.  Garmon was arrested and has been charged with POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFFENSE, MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE 1ST OFFENSE, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA BUY/POSSESS, TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE and OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL/DRUGS.  Garmon was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.

 

On Friday evening, Glasgow Police were dispatched to Rachel Court in Glasgow in reference to 46 year old Stevie D. Akers of Glasgow.  The residence was that of Akers mother, and she had advised Officers she did not want him there and he had been told that by the GPD the day before.  Upon arrival, Officers found Akers inside the residence and he was arrested and has been charged with CRIMINAL TRESSPASSING 3RD DEGREE.

 

On Saturday Glasgow Police Officers responded to North Race Street in Glasgow to investigate a possible violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.  Upon arrival, Officers found that 41 year old Dallas Flowers of Glasgow was inside the residence in violation of an EPO filed by the resident.  Officers also found a baggie with drug residue, a syringe and other items of drug paraphernalia in the floor beside Flowers inside the residence.  Flowers was arrested and has been charged with VIOLATION OF KY EPO/DVO, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE and DRUG PARAPHERNALIA.  He was taken to the Barren County Detention Center.
