Lowell W. Mayhall, of Macon, GA, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Mr. Mayall was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of the late Howard W. and Lucille Mayhall. He attended Male High School in Louisville and Western Kentucky University. Mr. Mayhall was a retired employee of Brown and Williamson Tobacco Corporation. He was assigned to the Macon, Georgia Branch from the B&W Louisville, Kentucky manufacturing operations as General Superintendent - Leaf Department. He was involved with the construction and start-up phases of leaf storage and processing for the Macon Branch factory.

Lowell was an avid outdoorsman who trained his own horses and bird dogs. He was a Field Trial judge as well as competitor at many trial events in Southern Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Lysle Mayhall. He is survived by his one brother, John David Mayhall and wife Linda, Louisville, KY; nieces, Bonnie Sue LeCompte and husband Tom, Leigh Ann Black and husband Jeff; great nephews, Dr. Michael LeCompte and wife Nina, Phillip LeCompte, Christian Claar, Jonathan Claar.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM, Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY. The family will greet friends following the graveside service.
