On Friday afternoon, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call of two commercial vehicles on fire at  43.7 mile marker northbound in Edmonson County, KY.

 

According to Trooper Jonathan McChesney, the driver of unit one 64 year old Martin Gassitte of Kenosha, WI was traveling north on I 65 when he struck a commercial vehicle being operated by 49 year old Scott Miller of Pegram, TN causing both vehicles to catch fire.  Mr. Gassitte was  transported by Barren County EMS to TJ Samson Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

 

Trooper McChesney was assisted on the scene by the Smiths Grove Fire Department and the Park City Fire Department.

 

 

 

An investigation led by the Kentucky State Police into allegations of sexual abuse of children in back in March of this year has landed a Morgantown man in jail.

Results of the investigation were presented to the Butler County Grand Jury and they returned an indictment on 33 year old Mike Grise of Morgantown.

Grise was indicted on 36 separate counts:  13 counts of SEXUAL ABUSE 1ST DEGREE (VICTIM LESS THAN 12 YEARS OF AGE), 11 counts of SODOMY, (VICTIM LESS THAN 12 YEARS OF AGE) and 11 counts of RAPE 1ST DEGREE.

Grise was lodged in the Butler County Jail.  The investigation is ongoing and is being  led by Detective Laura Phillips, Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, KY.
