Helen Tomes Woosley, 90 of Big Reedy passed away at 2:15 AM Friday at her home. The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and a member of Slate Bank General Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Frank Tomes and Una Tomes and the wife of the late Willard Woosley.

Funeral will be at 2 PM Sunday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Dit Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 PM Friday, 9 AM-9 PM Saturday and after 9 AM Sunday.

Surviving are two sons, Royce Woosley of Big Reedy and Bobby Woosley of Brownsville; three daughters, Wanda Smith (Rodney) of Big Reedy, Betty Meredith of Sweeden and Carol Vincent (Wendell) of Brownsville; a brother, Edmon Tomes of Sunny Point; seven grandchildren, Nita Cummings, Jeff Lawrence, Randy Meredith Jr., Melody Hatfield, Jennifer Hite, Regina Lindsey and Autumn Scruggs; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; and several step grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

 

Today is Gayle Berry Day!!!  Gayle is retiring July 31 from the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.  A reception is being held today from 1-3.
