Horace Glenn Ray, 86, Bowling Green, KY died at 12:20 A.M. Saturday, April 26, 2014 after a long fight with Multiple Myeloma at the Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, KY.  The Kentucky native was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sargent and retired U.S. Postal Service employee.   He was a veteran of WW2, Korea and Viet Nam wars. He founded and organized the Tulln Air Base Austria Reunion for 25 years. He was a 50 year member of the Masons and Shriners. Belonged to: Simpson Benevolent Masonic Lodge #177, Franklin, Scottish Rite Masons, Nashville, Shriners, Nashville, Sam Davis Chapter # 290 Eastern Star, Smyrna, TN and a Kentucky Colonel. In later years he enjoyed tending to his vegetable gardens. He was a son of the late Curtis Bradley Ray and Terra Marie Kennedy Ray.  He was preceded in death by his brother Leon Ray and his sister Erma Jean Ray Carver (late husband Henry).

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Selma Francis Bohannon Ray; son Larry G. Ray (Vickie) of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter Cathy D. Ray Forbis (late husband Kenny) of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren: Stephanie (Shawn) Stewart of Hanover MD; Matt (Mandy)Forbis of Bowling Green KY, Jeff Ray of Council Bluff, IA; Kristin Forbis of Bowling Green KY; three great grandchildren: Payton Jent and Kate Forbis of Bowling Green, KY and Olivia Stewart of Hanover, MD.  Also surviving, two sisters: Lila Ray Dodd (late husband Merrill) Franklin KY and Alma Lee Taylor Rippy (Noah) of Adolphus KY.

He will be cremated at his request with no service and his ashes will be buried at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request you consider donations to American Cancer Society or Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green KY.
