On Friday March 21, 2014, Trooper Jonathan McChesney served an Indictment on Michael J. McGrew (34) of Brownsville.  The indictment was issued by the Edmonson County Grand Jury in which McGrew was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st, Unlawful Possession of a meth precursor, as well as being a Persistent Felony Offender 1st.

 

According to Trooper McChesney, the charges stem from a burglary investigation that originated at Johnny's Automotive in Smiths Grove in February of this year.  While attempting to locate Michael McGrew for questioning, a meth lab was discovered at the residence he was staying at.  McGrew was lodged in the Warren County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
