OVER 3 POUNDS OF MARIJUANA FOUND IN HART COUNTY TRASH RECEPTACLE PDF Print

On Wednesday Hart County Sheriff Boston Hensley was contacted by Hart County Solid Waste Director Kerry McDaniel concerning a suspicious complaint of an envelope containing $5000 in cash in a garbage receptacle that had been repossessed due to discontinued service.  Upon investigation by Hart County Sheriff’s Office and the Hart County Solid Waste, the receptacle was located.

 

Inside the receptacle over three pounds of marijuana was discovered, but not the reported $5,000.  The marijuana has an estimated street value of approximately $8,000.

 

33 year old Phillip Dale Horton of Canmer was arrested and has been charged with TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA 8OUNCES TO 5 POUNDS, 2ND OR GREATER OFFENSE and was lodged in the Hart County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 cash bond.
