Bobby "Bob" Birge, 80, of Tompkinsville, KY passed away Wednesday, February 19th, at Skyline Medical Center. Bobby was born in Tompkinsville, KY on November 16, 1933, a son of the late Nettie Jane (Birge) and Ray E. Birge. He was a heavy machine operator.

On December 11, 1952,at the Monroe County Courthouse he married Phinell (Clarkson) Birge, who survives him.  Bobby is  survived by a daughter, Gail Birge, of Cave City, KY; two sons Nelson Birge, of Ft. Run, KY; Ricky Birge, of Tompkinsville, KY; 5 grandchildren; Scotty Jackson, Kerry Rhoton, Nicholas Birge, Adam Birge, Derrick Birge. 4 step grandchildren; Miranda Staples, Bailee Staples, Katie Bradshaw and Will Bradshaw. 9 great grandchildren; Savannah Jackson Lindsey, Annie Jackson, Jamie Jackson, Tyler Jackson, Kaden Jackson, Brooklyn Rhoton, Briley Rhoton, Bailey Rhoton and Chandler Birge. Bobby is also survived by six sisters, Dorene Hard, of Scottsville, KY; Evie Moore, of Louisville, KY; Nancy McIntyre, of Summer Shade, KY; Linda Long, of Indianapolis, IN; Brenda  Moore, of Tompkinsville, KY; Sondra Richy, of Temple Hill.

He is preceded in death by three sisters; Merlena Birge, Kellie and Shelly Birge.

Funeral Services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 24th, 2014.Visitation is Sunday 11:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. and Monday 6:00 A.M.- 2:00 P.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial is in White Cemetery.
