Glasgow Police were dispatched to an injury accident at the intersection of 68/80 and Veteran’s Outer Loop at 2:23 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014.


Upon arrival at the scene, Officers found two vehicles had collided in the intersection resulting in multiple injuries and a fatality.


According to GPD Sgt. Burton, one of the vehicles, a 1998 Pontiac, was operated by 22 year old Katelyn Eversole of Glasgow, the other, a 2002 Chevy Tracker, was operated by 51 year old David Begley of Lejunior, Ky., which is in Harlan County.


Upon impact between the two vehicles, the Tracker flipped completely over coming to final rest back on all four wheels. The front seat passenger, 69 year old Delmar Lloyd of Lejunior, was declared deceased at the scene.


A passenger in the back seat of the Tracker, Frank Hill of Lejunior, age unknown at this time, was ejected through the rear window. He was airlifted to Vanderbilt. No information on his condition is known at the time of this release.


The driver of the Tracker, David Begley and a juvenile passenger in the back seat of the Tracker were transported to T J Samson by Barren/Metcalfe EMS, treated and released. The juvenile resides in Edmonton.


The driver of the Pontiac, Katelyn Eversole was treated and released at T J Samson after transport by Barren/Metcalfe EMS.


The investigation remains open under the direction of Sgt. Burton with assistance from the Barren County Sheriff’s Department.
