Jeff Jobe has filed and is announcing his candidacy for KY State Representative in the 23rd District on the Republican ticket.  Jobe has been a resident of Barrren County for ten years, having moved here in 2003.  Jobe is the Publisher and CEO of Jobe Publishing, which prints five newspapers in areas of Kentucky.  Jobe says his newspaper experience, along with his community involvement will allow him to represent the minority, as well as the majority:

Jobe knows there are real issues facing our residents, schools and businesses and is frustrated by the time that has been wasted and the lack of a real plan that will help.

Today is Gayle Berry Day!!!  Gayle is retiring July 31 from the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center.  A reception is being held today from 1-3.
