The Barren County Sheriff’s Office wants to bring citizens awareness about an increase of thefts throughout the county. BCSO has been investigating a number of thefts involving vehicles, ATV’s and other miscellaneous items. We are asking for citizens to take extra measures in helping to prevent these thefts. We encourage you to take the keys out of vehicles and ATV’s left outside and also vehicles parked in barns and other buildings. Ensure that the vehicles are locked and parked in a lighted area if available. These thefts have particularly affected the western half of Barren County.
