Clorine Slaughter, 79, of Mammoth Cave passed away Saturday afternoon at her home. The Edmonson County native was a housewife and a member of the Cove Hollow United Baptist church. She was the daughter of the late Leo Jaggers and Ida Poteet Jaggers. She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Coates; and two brothers, Claydean Jaggers and Lennie Jaggers.

She is survived by her husband, Stuart Slaughter; a daughter, Faye Johnson and husband Ronald of Brownsville; one son, Christopher George Slaughter of Mammoth Cave; three step daughters, Becky Slaughter and Teresa Slaughter of Bloomington, IL and Kim Slaughter of Dallas, TX; three brothers, Albert Jaggers and Dennis Jaggers and wife Shirley of Mammoth Cave and Thomas Jaggers of Louisville; two sisters, Sue Carnes and husband Colin of Mammoth Cave and Betty Webb of Brownsville; four grandchildren, Bridgett Alexander, Laura Beth Hennion, Allen Johnson and Chelsea Slaughter. Three step grandchildren, six great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday at Cove Hollow United Baptist Church , with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM-9:00PM Monday, 9:00AM-9:00PM Tuesday and after 9:00AM until the time of service at the church on Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.
