Allen R. Carner, 66, of Brownsville passed away at 7:08 PM Jan. 8, 2014 at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.The Hardin County native was a truck driver and a US Army veteran. He was a son of the late Paul Vance Carner and Ruby Mae Grinder Carner.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Allen Carner; and a brother, Jerry Lee Carner.

Surviving are his wife, Judith D. "Dean" Davis Carner; six daughters, Julie Versteegt of Pensacola, FL, Angel Bechtel (Edward Hildebrand) of Huntington, IN, Christye Newsom (James) of Bowling Green, Laura Shaw (Dwayne) of Brownsville, Shonda Bean (Steve) of Burkesville and Nancy Hayes (Nathan) of Rocky Hill; a sister, Paulette Plymire of Port William, OH; 21 grandchildren; a great grandchild; three step grandchildren; and six step great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial to take place in Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Friday and after 9 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
