"DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER" CAMPAIGN A SUCCESS IN CAVE CITY PDF Print

Across the Bluegrass, Law Enforcement Officers have been cracking down on Drunk Driving, through their ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign.  According to Cave City Police Chief Jeff Wright, the Cave City Police Department participated in this program with great results. Cave City Officers were out in full force and conducted two highway safety checkpoints.

Total enforcement activity over the period of the campaign include: 2 DUI Arrest, 7 Seat Belt citations, 3 Felony arrests, 5 Fugitives Apprehended, 6 Operating on Suspended Operator’s License, 5 No Insurance citations, 6 Speeding citations, 8 Drug Arrests/Citations, and 12 various other traffic related offenses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yesterday Deputy Mindy Smith, with the Barren County Detention Center, lost her home and vehicle to a house fire.  Smith has two small girls and the family lost everything in the fire.  The Barren County Detention Center Staff is asking for community help.  Anyone wishing to help may drop their donation off at the jail or call and a Deputy will pick it up.
