WOMAN RAPED; ONE MAN JAILED ON DRUG CHARGES, ALLEGED RAPIST REMAINS AT LARGE PDF Print

Glasgow Police have been gathering information into an incident that began on December 13th, Glasgow Officers went to the TJ Samson Hospital to investigate a reported rape.  Upon arrival Officers spoke with the victim who stated she got morphine from 62 year old Harold Shirley of Grand Avenue in Glasgow, and was high on morphine at the time of the rape.  Joe Lopez, the suspected rapist, was identified by the victim and Officers were told he lived at the residence of Mr. Shirley.  A search warrant was obtained for Shirley’s residence, and the search yielded morphine and numerous needles.  Lopez was not at the residence when Officers arrived.  Shirley was arrested and has been charged with 2 SEPARATE COUNTS OF POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE 1ST DEGREE, DRUG PARAPHERNALIA and PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE NOT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER.
