Freddie N. Burton, 77, of Summer Shade, formerly of Adair County, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at 9:00 A.M. at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1936, in Adair County, to the late Clem & Pinkie Burton.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three children, Freddie N. Burton, Jr., Angela Burton & Debbie Dykes.  He was a member of Glasgow Faith Church, a US Army Veteran and a retired truck driver.

Survivors include:

His wife – Dolly Spear Burton of Summer Shade

One son – Michael Burton of Cincinnati, Ohio

Four daughters – Lorie Calhoun of Glasgow, Debbie Spears of Burkesville, Brenda Parrish of Beaumont, Lisa Carter of Willow Shade

One brother – Dickie Burton of Shepherdsville

13 grandchildren & eight great-grandchildren

Funeral service – Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Poynter officiating Burial in Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation after 4:00 P.M. Wednesday
