William Burke"Bill" Blakey, 89, of Canmer, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at his home.

He was a Hart County native, a retired farmer, a W W II Army Veteran and a member of Canmer Baptist Church.

Mr. Blakey was preceded in death by his parents, Burke and Mary Murphy Blakey and a brother, Jack Blakey.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Atwell Blakey, of Canmer Three sons, Billy Joe Blakey, Canmer, George Blakey and wife, Margaret, of Springfield, Mo., Donald Blakey and wife, Annette, of Hanover, Md. Two daughters, Mary Ann Pedigo and husband, Don, of Canmer, and Barbara Kimberling and husband, Nat, of Kansas City, Mo. Seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2PM in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Pearl Webb Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
