Susan E. Lindsey, 67, of Lindseyville passed away at 4:50 AM Dec. 10, 2013 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky Center in Bowling Green. The Jefferson County native was an owner and bookkeeper of Lindsey Sanitation. She was a daughter of the late David Lester Burks and Almeta Blevins Burks and the wife of the late Alton Kenneth Lindsey.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Lindsey; two grandchildren, Logan Wayne Richards and William Zachary Coats; three sisters, Mary Lindsey, Jean Smith and Anita Faye Burks; and two brothers, Donald and David Burks.

Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Alford (Alvin) and Lori Ray (Doug) both of Brownsville and Carmella Vandgrift (Sheldon) of Louisville; three sisters, Meda Davis (Joey), Pat Arthur (Linda Gooden) and Diana Cook (Mike) all of Louisville; a brother, Charles Burks (Anita) of Germany; seven grandchildren, Charity Garner, Candi Alford, Patrick Coats, Maria Coats, Stacie Lindsey, Susan Frogge and Jennifer Bragg; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 11 AM Friday at Brownsville General Baptist Church, where she was a member, with burial in Midway Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday, 9 AM-8 PM Thursday and after 9 AM Friday at the church. Gravil Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
